ZRM are power supplies intended for armoured fighting vehicles. They are used to ensure power supply for on-board equipment, when engine of the vehicle is switched off and alternator is not running, and power is supplied to the vehicle externally (e.g. from power grid or auxiliary power unit). They can also perform the function of charging vehicle batteries.
One key feature which distinguishes them from other solutions available in the market is high energy efficiency. It is especially important for power supply units when the amount of heat generated during operation causes considerable load to ventilation and air conditioning systems. High energy efficiency of ZRM allows using passive cooling, which enables elimination of generated noise, as well as increase of environmental protection and reliability of the unit.
ZRM offers a broad range of power supply voltages and the option of one- and three-phase operation (in the set of 3 units of ZRM10 power supplies). The power supply is equipped with active PFC’s, that is a special system which does not introduce harmonic distortion to the power supply grid. It is characterized by low hum, as a result of which distortions are not introduced to the supplied units. Due to high temperature stability of ZRM, the system is able to run correctly regardless of temperature. The features listed earlier with total resistance to output short-circuit and the possibility of continuous operation under overload conditions determine high utility value of ZRM power supply units.
The unit is compliant with EMC standard MIL-STD-461 as well as MIL-STD-810 standards, thanks to which it is resistant to environmental exposures, such as low and high temperatures, operation under vibrations and impacts, and also with high dust level and difficult cooling.
The latest model - ZRM10 – is distinguished by resistance to occurrence of phase-to-phase voltage. This unit can be controlled via CAN bus, thanks to which remote reading of its operating parameters is possible.Modular design and low leakage current allow the option of parallel connection of power supply units and protection using the standard 30mA protection.
