The connecting harnesses are used to make connections between equipment within a single closed system, they are usually harnesses installed permanently so they are not exposed to frequent rolling and unrolling, their length is between several dozen centimetres to a dozen metres. These harnesses have many branches because their task is to transmit signals between various peripheral units and control system.
For their production, solutions with high mechanical and environmental resistance, are used, as a result of specific needs of the application. It is assumed that operators of the vehicle, while performing their routine activities, can mechanically affect the harnesses, therefore mechanical protection such as in standard outdoor harnesses are used.
A part of equipment installed inside the vehicles, such as sensors or antenna masts, may require application of cables and connectors immune to an aggressive environment and mechanical stress. For this reason water- and dust-tightness as well as robust mechanical anchoring of cable in the connector are key features. In addition, harnesses produced in Radiotechnika Marketing are distinguished by high flexibility of cables, which allows the connection of movable elements, so they can complete several thousand bending cycles without losing transmission properties.
Furthermore, with many branches, it is possible to use protective pipe systems, with various connectors and manifolds which additionally improve the resistance of harnesses and prevent their potential damage.
