MDI ideal diode modules are units which allow supplying many independent batteries from one power supply source by letting energy run one-way with very low losses. Thanks to them, there is no risk of damages in the situation when batteries are connected or in the case of excessive discharging of one of them.
MDI from Radiotechnika Marketing is characterized by low voltage drop (below 0.1V) comparing to the standard diode which is particularly important in the case of high-current solutions, where voltage drop is a source of significant power loss and involves the necessity to discharge heat. The use of MDI contributes to essential limitation of these losses.
The unit is designed for use in harsh environmental conditions, such as low and high temperatures, operation at high dust level and difficult cooling.
In its design, the ideal diode module use passive cooling, which guarantees environment protection. Thanks to the use of MDI, it is also possible to avoid solutions based on contactors, which have a limited lifespan and require regular replacement and may lead to short circuit. These technical aspects guarantee reliability of the entire system.
