The PARASOL project (\"European Doctoral Network for Safe and Sustainable Electromagnetic Shielding Solutions for Mobility\") is a Doctoral Network at the intersection of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), materials engineering, system-safety engineering and sustainable development management. The project involves European technical universities: Eindhoven University of Technology, KU Leuven, The University of Twente, The University of York, The Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC) and Tomas Bata University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the project\u2019s implementation, an important role is played by partners\u2014companies specializing in the issues that doctoral students are developing as part of their work. They are advisors and they also help PhD students to conduct research and develop their projects providing industrial experience. We are proud to announce that Radiotechnika Marketing is one of such partner companies in the PARASOL project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the project, PhD students are researching solutions in the field of electromagnetic (EM) shielding solutions, which has special significance in the development of future mobility. These are issues that are particularly important to Radiotechnika Marketing, because we have our own Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory, where, among other things, we also conduct shielding effectiveness testing for chambers and materials<\/a> and tests of screening attenuation for shielded wire<\/a>. Participation in the project allows us to support the development of PhD students in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. At the same time we are able to continuously improve the competences of our employees, as well as exchange EMC and SE industry experiences on the international platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 2-5, the DN Parasol network gathered in Zl\u00edn in the Czech Republic for the second Network Wide Event (NWE). The meeting aimed to provide PhD students with the opportunity to share progress in research and engage in discussions with colleagues, supervisors and project partners. The meeting was attended by a representative of our company - Wit Tyranowicz, who is the Chief of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory. During the meeting, he learned about the progress of the PhD students' work and had the pleasure of participating in several interesting lectures on, among others, TEMPEST requirements and radiated emissions in military standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next Network Wide Event will take place in early April, and next year we will have the pleasure of hosting one of the PhD students in our Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory in Pietrzykowice for research as part of his PhD thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project has received funding from the European Union's EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Europe Horizon (Grant Agreement No 101072881, for Doctoral Researcher Positions 1-4, 6-8 and 10-12) and UKRI (UK Research and Innovation, for Doctoral Researcher Positions DR5 and DR9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
